Voyage: Day 2

We made it to Kansas City, MO. Tomorrow we have a pretty long haul to Colorado, as between Wichita, KS and Denver, CO, there doesn’t appear to be anything. At all. A large void of nothing. At least as far as pet-friendly hotels are concerned.

Meanwhile, the cat continues to whine. The dogs seem to feel compelled to twist themselves into a ball of leashed stupidity. And the kids think telling me their butts are tired will help.

Oh, and fireworks are going off for some reason. Is it New Years already.
